2024 APEC YES Challenge is oriented in the following principles
WHAT
Develop solutions for community and economy problems.
Promote innovation and entrepreneurship, and provide benefits for stakeholders.
Promote Net-zero based on the following scopes. Your solution should apply to ONE of them.
- Scope I – Green Energy Technologies Empower Net-Zero Energy Transition
- Scope II – BCG Economy Models Enhance Net-Zero Societal Transformation
WHO
2024 APEC YES Challenge welcomes all undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students with mentors.
There are at least two students and one mentor for each team. However, limited to four students, and two mentors.
Teams from related APEC member economies are especially welcome to attend YES Challenge.
Teams may consist of interdisciplinary members. We strongly encourage including a mentor with industrial backgrounds in your team.
REGISTRATION
One teammate registers for 2024 YES Challenge on behalf of your team for an account. Thus, there will only be one account for each team. Please do NOT duplicate your team's registration.
Team leader's economy would be the economy that your team represents. The term "Economy" we used for the APEC event is to identify nationality because of the regulation of APEC: cannot use the term "nation" or "national" or "country". So the "Economy" is a general word for your country represented.
Teams are not allowed to apply two scopes at the same time.
Your school mailbox may have an external mail-blocking function. Using a general mail address to register is highly recommended, such as Gmail.
Teams can revise the registration information before the deadline.
Teams may log in and upload the CN after registration. There are a few notices you should know when you upload CN.
- The upload CN must be a PDF within 4 pages.
- The file name format refers to below:
- Scope I teams: "S1_Team Name_CN", for example, "S1_GreenPower_CN"
- Scope II teams: "S2_Team Name_CN", for example, "S2_MIBio_CN"
- Teams are allowed to revise (and upload) the CN. The latest uploaded CN will be considered the final version before the deadline.
